Most of our AROSurgical Micro Sutures are similar to Ethicon SuturesThe sterile suture we carry is a Nylon Black Monofiliment in both TAPER and MET
point. Nylon is the name for polyamide fibers and the material for
non-absorbable sutures. This is used mainly for skin suture, corium
suture, cardiovascular and opthalmic surgery as well as microsurgery.
The
diameter of Nylon Monofilament pressed out from a nozzle is uniform.
The nylon suture slides easily through tissue and is easily removed from
the body. Nylon has excellent tissue compatibilities. It is
characterised by its tensile strength, and since it has high
elasticity, special attention is needed toward knotting. These nylon
sutures are dyed for easy identification.
